The international EEP-EFAEP jury has finally announced the winners of EEP AWARD chosen from top 10 European technologies of the year 2007.The awards ceremony took place as usual during Pollutec fair in France on the 29th of November. Congratulations to the winners!

This year guest number one of the environmental fair Pollutec that took place in Paris between the 27th and 30th of November was not a country, but a region: German state North Rhine-Westphalia, the real laboratory of pure and renewable energy.
Forests for quality of life

17 years ago European countries started to cooperate on the highest level to protect the forests and implement lasting sustainable forest management.
This year Poland - that has participated in conferences from the beginning - hosted the 5th Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe held under the slogan "Forests for quality of life" that took place between the 5th and 7th of November in Warsaw.
The value of recovery

The visual metaphor of bin transformed into a safe - this year's symbol of the 11th International Trade Fair of Material&Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development ECOMONDO that between the 7th and 10th November took place in the seaside Italian city Rimini - was intended to show that something that initially values less than nothing is now a resource, able to generate business. This was the message that the organizers were trying to get across to the public.
OTOP's report: 30 Polish bird species endangered

The report published by the Polish Association for Birds Protection (OTOP) in the end of November presents the results of the Common Breeding Birds Monitoring. According to collected data, 30 species of native avifauna, so far classified as common, are threatened with extinction and in the forseeable future may be recorded in the Polish Red List of Threatened Animals.
