Brazilian Landfill Gas to Energy Project “

NovaGerar” and Clean Development Mechanism.
The NovaGerar project will collect methane in landfill gas from two dumpsites in Brazil. The certified emission reductions generated by the project will be purchased by the Netherlands CDM Facility.

The activities on GHG market has been increasing. Following the withdrawal of the U.S, Russia ratified the Kyoto agreement recently.
The new look at the lands’ revitalization

During Polish – German Environment Day, next to Poleko 2004 Fairs, Buhck Recykling Company presented the lands’ revitalization project. In the past, these lands were used by Beiersdorf – Lechia – the cosmetics producer from Poznan. The Voivode of Great Poland visited Buhck Recykling’s stand, which is known in Poland from 4 years.

The new straw - fired boiler – the new standard of the heat systems

Wieniawa Municipality has a new straw - fired boiler, which was built by GROS –POL Sp. z o.o company from Poznan.
The Cohesion Fund – the chance for the modernization of water supply and sewage systems in Bytom

A new investment in Bytom’s Municipal Plant is planed, but it requires great outlays. The company is waiting for the financial support from the Cohesion Fund.
Double celebration in PERN „ Friendship” S.A

On November 5th, in PERN „ Friendship” S.A petroleum base in Adamów, close to Belarus, two new petroleum tank storages were opened. Each of it has 100 thousand m³ capacity. Both tanks are the largest and modest ground petroleum tank storages in Poland.
In the same day the company received the certificate of the Integrated Management System.
The forest, money and Nature 2000

European Union doesn’t lead common forest policy. In Brussels subjects on forest are discussed whitin environment or agriculture debates. Decisions on forests are taken without representatives of institutions which are responsible for the forests management.
Ecologists versus technocrats

“Eko - Forum 2004”, took place on November 18 this year in Warsaw University of Technology.
This ecological debate was organized by Bayer Company and Faculty of Chemistry annually.
The ecologists and technocrats discussed on “Water: The medium of life – the possibility of techniques and nature dialogue”. Among invited guests were students and representatives of mass media and science.
