REACH – a costly supplement to the chemical branch
REACH, the European Union registry system of chemical substances, directly concerns all the Polish enterpreneurs that introduce into the European markets more than one ton of chemical substances per year. The system is obligatory and extremely complicated, therefore an authority that helps firms to interpret regulations and fulfil the new obligations of the system was needed. In Poland the Industrial Chemistry Research Institite named after professor Ignacy Mo¶cicki serves as the Consultation Point for REACH. We present an interwiew with Mr. AndrzejKrze¶lak, the representant of the institute.

Voivodship programmes of small retention - review
The superior aim of the voivodship programme of small retention is to define the principles
governing water resources management - improvement of their condition, their restoration and enlargement. The process of their updating is currently taking place in many voivodships in Poland. However, because of works on other superior planning documents also under way
(such as plans of water management in river basins that should be ready in 2009) - programmes of small retention will have to be monitored.
